Momenook is a personal photo/video/voice journal app. This policy describes exactly what the app does, in plain terms, based on its actual behaviour.
No account
Momenook does not require, offer, or support signing in. There is no account, no username, and no identity tied to your use of the app.
Everything stays on this device
Your journal — photos, short videos, voice recordings, captions, and dates — is stored only in Momenook's private app storage on your phone. The app does not talk to any server: it makes no network requests of any kind. There is no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, and no telemetry.
Android's own system backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Momenook, so your journal is not swept up in a phone's general backup/restore flow — the only way your journal leaves the device is a backup file you choose to export.
Camera and microphone
Momenook requests camera access only when you tap to take a photo or record a video, and microphone access only when you tap to record a voice note (or record a video with sound). These permissions are never used in the background and are never requested speculatively.
Photos and videos you choose to import
When you pick an existing photo or video from your device's picker, Momenook copies that file into its own private storage. It does not browse, scan, or index the rest of your photo library — it only ever touches the specific files you select.
Backups are yours, and unencrypted
Exporting a backup writes a single .zip file to a location you choose. That file contains your private photos, videos, voice recordings, captions, and dates in plain, unencrypted form — it is not password-protected. Treat it like any other personal file.
Restoring a backup only ever adds moments to your journal — it never deletes or overwrites anything already there.
What we don't do
No account creation, login, or user identifiers of any kind. No network requests. No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect data. No automatic or background sync of any kind.
